- ashrae 55 – defines thermal comfort ranges for occupants. entrópica adapts these to tropical climates by prioritizing air movement and humidity control rather than just dry bulb temperature.
- ashrae 62.1 – minimum ventilation rates are applied, but adjusted through mixed-mode strategies (natural ventilation plus mechanical backup).
- ashrae 90.1 – energy standard for buildings (except low-rise residential). provides the baseline for envelope, lighting, and hvac system efficiencies. entrópica often designs beyond code minimum to demonstrate percentage reductions.
- ashrae 189.1 – sustainable high-performance buildings standard. used as a reference for holistic metrics beyond energy, though not always required by clients.
